Canvas Comrade grew out of a lifelong love of technology and a childhood in the 1990s, watching the devices around us change. We exist to keep that feeling alive, turning technology history into art that feels personal.

We create original posters inspired by the technology we remember and the design details worth looking at again. Our artwork brings nostalgia and considered design together, made for spaces we live, work, play, and listen in.
Our Rewind collection celebrates complete devices through minimalist compositions and muted, vintage-inspired colours. Teardown looks beneath the surface, exploring device anatomy through technical, exploded-view illustrations.

The person behind the posters
Hi, I'm Sandro – the founder of Canvas Comrade. I'm a 30-year-old Austrian from the Innsbruck area, I work in the tech industry and spend part of my life in Vienna, one of my favourite cities.
I design every poster myself, on an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil, several programs and the support of AI. A design goes back and forth between them until it's right: a device I remember, a palette that suits it and a composition that still looks good in a well-designed room.
